Run the ordinary lane
Follow a normal pallet through the approach, capture point, and next handoff. Name the reference the dock team uses at that moment.
Introduce one difficult load
Use a wrapped, overhanging, irregular, or poorly labelled pallet. Watch where the team holds it and who owns the next decision.
Retrieve the same case later
Ask a second reviewer to use the working reference after the pallet has left the capture point. This exposes whether the handoff is complete.
